Mind Soak is a podcast centred on life experiences, psychology and mental well-being. When I was approached to work on this project, it became a defining moment in my journey as a designer: creating my very first complete set of branding guidelines for a business.
The goal was to give the podcast a visual identity that felt authentic, thoughtful and inviting. The branding needed to reflect the core themes of reflection, growth and human connection—while also being versatile enough for social media, digital platforms and future marketing materials.
I built a comprehensive set of guidelines that covered:
Logo use – ensuring consistency across platforms
Typography and colour palettes – chosen to balance warmth with professionalism
Tone of voice and messaging direction – aligning visuals with the podcast’s mission
Application examples – from social content to cover artwork
This project was a valuable learning experience that pushed me to think strategically about branding, not just design. Mind Soak gave me the opportunity to translate a brand’s purpose into a system that others could easily apply, laying the foundation for how I now approach all branding work at Maljers Creative.
